Illamasqua: Cream Blusher

Left - Right: #Dixie, #Seduce

Why I love it:
  • These cream blushers are exactly what I'd imagine them to be. Creamy in texture and easy to blend. I first tried this cream blusher during one of the Illamasqua event I was invited to and fell in love with it. instantly.
  • Working the cream blush is really easy just rub some pigment onto your fingers and dot them to the area you want on your cheeks and blend. I also like to use a stripling brush and gently buff and blend for a natural finish
  • Pigment wise, these blushes are a dream to work with, if I were to rate them I'd say their pigment level is easily a 9 out of 10 (10 being maximum pigment). What you see in the package will be the exact colour on your cheeks.
  • Do I like them? Hell yes, you bet! I'm not a fan of liquid/cream blush for the longest time because the longevity and blotchiness is usually the main issue. You won't have any of those issue with these blushes. They are HG worthy blush products.
  • My only dislike bit about this blush is the packaging. It's one of those packaging that requires you to slid your nail in between this tiny slot to pull the lid open. As a result, most often than not, this contributes to chipped nails.

Beauty Bits

Fudge Urban: 3-in-1 Miracle Moisture Stuff
RRP AUD$ 10.99

Defrizz, smooth and condition all in one bottle.
Rich in Argan oil and lightweight formula. Delivers shine and keeps hair soft, definitely a must if you're big on taming frizz and keeping your hair straight and manageable.

Fudge Urban: De-Gunk Deep Clean Shampoo
RRP AUD$ 9.99 (350ml)

Citrus minty and is very refreshing to the scalp, gentle enough for daily use to keep residue under control with hair refreshed. Le garçon named this 'best shampoo' evar!

Yankee Candles - Stress Relief Spa Home Fragrance Oil
RRP AUD$15

You all know how much I love my Yankee Candles products, the Stress Relief Aromatherapy Spa collection is a must have for those who live a very hectic lifestyle. The combination of Shea Butter and Cedarwood is surprisingly calming. The Stress Relief candles starts from as low as $4.95.

The Aromatherapy Co: Foot Gift Set
RRP AUD$24.95

Comes with a nail brush, foot balm and a foot scrub soap. We always want our feet to look clean and well taken care of when we wear heels but more often than not I've seen girls who look absolutely smashing but when it comes to their heels and feet, let's just say it's not a very good sight. Don't forget that when people check out your shoes, they also check out the feet that are wearing them.

For those who need serious TLC, try their foot soak & foot spray. It smells absolutely amazing (tea tree, peppermint + lavender) and prep your feet for the buff and cream, Not to mention they are all under $15, what a bargain!

Face of Australia: Lip products

Mineral Lip Shine in #Fairy Floss
RRP AUD$12.95

This natural and mineral based lip shine (comes in 7 different shades) is conveniently packaged in a lipstick packaging. The silky formula makes it easy to apply and to keep lips soft and hydrated.

However if you have seriously cracked and peely lips (like moi!), this will emphasise your cracks and your dry lips (see picture below). With intense lips drying  issue opt for a creamier, lanolin based lip product to thoroughly soothe drying lips. This lip shine is best used for lips without any intense dryness and just require a swipe or two whenever is needed.

Divine Shine Lip Lacquer in #Cosmic Rush
RRP AUD$10.95

Comes in 6 shades to choose from, all very wearable and pigmented shade. Personally, I much prefer lipsticks over glosses but if you don't mind glosses, this one moisturises the lips and delivers really intense pigments to the lips, leaving lips shiny, well moisturised and doesn't seep into the cracks.

Rimmel: Eye Additions

Quite impressed with Rimmel's Eyeshadow Quad ($14.95 each). As you can see with my picture above, I've already digged into the Quads and is quite fond of them. The Quads is available in 7 shades, the one on the far left is #016 Urban Flower, it is designed to 'pop' the blue eyes, I have brown eyes and equally love these colours on my eyes.

The quad in the middle is #004 Smokey Blue, this Quad is pretty universal and would work with all eye shades even though it says is perfect for brown eyes. The formula is soft and very silky to apply. These are also seriously crease-resistant. While I did use an eye primer; the colours stayed on my lids all day long.

Mono Eyeshadow ($10.50 each) in far right is #500 Posh Peacock,  is available in 16 shades and they work exactly like the quad. In my opinion, it's far more worth your moolah to buy the quads as they come in complimentary shades and its a no brainier.

Burt's Bee: Tinted Lip Balms

At Burt's Bee, we believe that true beauty comes from using the best natural ingredients to maximize your well-being, allowing your natural beauty to shine through.

Why I love it:
  • Available in 6 loveable shades all named after flowers! (Ps, I am a sucker for all things fruity and flowery) #Hibiscus, #Pink Blossom, #Rose, #Red Dahlia, #Honey Suckle, #Tigerlily (personal favourite is #Rose & #Pink Blossom)
  • Star ingredients: Ylang-ylang, botanical flower waxes, jasmine, shea butter, vitamin E, beeswax
  • While I am not a big fan of glosses, you all know how much I love my balms. (Cue: lanolips, burt's bee, ella bache)
  • Burt's Bee always does really affordable and equally amazing lip balm/tints. Their tint are often subtle and is made out of nothing but 'natural' ingredients. Previously, I've been using this limited edition balm and have been raving it to everyone, when it ran out months ago a little part of me died inside. Needless to say, I am beyond estatic when their new Tinted Lip Balms launched.
  • Delivering all the goods - rehydrates lips, weightless, pear flavoured, delicious tints, this is definitely a keeper.

P/s: I've heard #Hisbiscus is quite a winner too!
